Trojan horse can also be call trojan. Trojan is a software designed to damage your computer. It trick people somehow to tranfer them to their computers. Trojan horse programs cannot replicate themselves, in contrast to some other types of malware, like viruses or worms. A Trojan horse can be deliberately attached to otherwise useful software by a programmer, or it can be spread by tricking users into believing that it is a useful program. For example, you want to download a anti-virus program. You search on google and go to this site and it’s free, they say it all good and safe so you download it. When you finish download, you start to use the program but instead the program didn’t fix the problems, it is making a bigger problem. To stop and prevent it, you need to have a good antivirus program and you have to update it daily. Don’t download programs, files you are unsure about. A good antivirus program will scan through all the files you stored on your computer and files you download from the internet to eliminate the threat.

Phishing is the process of fooling a person to give out there private information such as credit card number or passwords… For example, an e-mail directs the user to visit a Web site where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has. The Web site, however, is bogus and set up only to steal the user’s information. To prevent phishing, you must turn on phishing filter on your internet explorer but most importantly. Don’t send private information to any websites or emails that you are not sure about.

A computer worm differs from a computer virus in that a computer worm can run itself. A virus needs a host program to run, and the virus code runs as part of the host program. A computer worm can spread without a host program, although some modern computer worms also use files to hide inside. You can get worms by downloading unknown attachments on email, instant messengers… To prevent worms, you have to keep your computer up to date with window update. You have to use an anti virus program and keep it up to date to prevent worms and eliminate worms. Also, be careful when download something because there might be worm, viruses…

This year international day was the best international day I had experienced. I had a feeling that it’s going to be special when my homeroom teacher said that we have to wear shorts for some activities. On the next day, we had special guesses from the Cross Roads. DJ, a member of the Cross Road gave a great and hilarious speech about how he helped the people in poverty and how we can help them in front of all middle and high school students. The day is name: “A day at the world shoes”. During that day, we do many activities that DJ says will give us the experience of how is it like to live in poverty. I really learned a lot on that day. I will tell you more about the activities and what I’ve learn from it, also how can I help the people in poverty.
DJ’s great speech shows us that these people need help and he said we can help these people from all age, not just adult. You could feel how difficult are the lives of people in poverty through DJ’s speech. And after the speech, we did many activities to experience how it is like to live in poverty. The first activity is the paper bag activity. We have to make paper bags and sell it the shopkeepers to earn money for living. I learn that these people have a lot pressure to make the paper bags and sell it in order to pay the tax, medical fee and their dream of their children to go to school. After the paper bag activity, we have lunch. The lunch was very simple. I think it is similar to what people eat in poverty. Rice with potato and carrot… After lunch, we went to a small meeting in the gym. The meeting introduces us to our school project; we are building a school in Dong Nai. We are raising $60,000 to build the school. After the meeting, we follow the high school students to do the leadership activities, where we have to help each other to cross the bridge. I think through this activity, you have to work together to survive better. But also it’s very competitive too. You have to win to survive. If you give up, you will die so there is a lot of pressure. And the last activity of the day is with the global issues group. They talked about stereotype, how much percent of the world live with less than $1 per day, with more than $2 per day, with an average income, and the wealthy group. I realized that the percentage is getting better every year but there is still work to do.
It was a very busy and fun day. I learned how to help the people and what is it like to live like one of them. I really feel lucky and I realize I can help them in a lot of ways. We are building a school which a brilliant plan but that is just a school project. I think I could help the people even more like sending things we don’t use and send it to them. It might not be useful for us but it might be very useful for others. When I grow up and have a good running business, I would cooperate with the Cross Roads and send 25% of the company income to the Cross Roads to help the people in poverty.
The Want Ad. is an assignment when you pretend to be Christopher Columbus and write a flyer to recruit his sailors for the first trip across the Atlantic Ocean. The Want Ad. #1is the first draft. I used a website called wordle to improve my word choice. I pasted the whole writing into the website then a picture appears. It shows that which word is used alot in bigger letter than other words. Then I tried to change the word for the writing base on wordle. After that, I post the second writing and make a second wordle to compare two writings. I think the 2nd one is better. But the word sailor I can’t change because I can’t find another word for it.
Are You Ready To Make History My sailors?
I am Christopher Columbus and I just received the permission from Queen Isabella to start a voyage out on the west of Spain hoping to reach China on that way. We want to be the first to discover a better way to China. People may say we will fall of the earth when we go too far but you will not know if you do not try right? You will receive gold and treasure from the kings and will be remembered as one of the best group of sailors in the history. All of my sailors need to be brave, patient, strong, healthy, and active. I will be looking for an experienced sailor who is responsible and is a good leader to become a leader of the group. This person will be around 40 to 50 years old. My ship will not be able to run without any sailors so my crew will are require to be strong, healthy, easygoing, obeying, active and the most important thing is braveness. You will have to go through tests and competition because I need the best crew as possible. Good Luck! I hope to see you soon and we will go through the hard test across the ocean and set a new record that everyone will remember. You will receive a lot of valuable prices.
